A lovely and hard to find 1970s Super Compressor CYMA Divingstar 1500.
The watch is in original condition and has recently been serviced by Simon Freese Watchmakers, 12 month mechanical warranty are included with the sale.
Synchron was a Swiss holding company under ASUAG containing CYMA, Doxa, and Ernest Borel from 1968-1980.
These divers were made to be used and with an original depth rating of 1500 feet were equally as efficient as other brands of the time. The colours are typically bright and this reference comes with a black dial (more common) and also yellow and orange dials, which seem harder to find. The super compressor case is 43.5 mm but still wears well on the wrist. The original NSA bead bracelet is a nice addition as these are often missing. The bracelet will fit a wrist of approx 7 inches, but a leather strap can easily be fitted.
The watch was serviced in February 2022 and comes with 12 months mechanical warranty. It has not been pressure tested so I would advise checking this before getting it wet.
The overall condition is good used vintage, there are some small surface marks to the mineral glass, but these can only be seen at certain angles. There are a few small marks commensurate with age, but no major dents or dings considering the use it has likely had. The orange dial still has its original tritium, as do the hands. The original bakelite orange bezel is bi-directional and really pops with colour.
Points to consider: Fully serviced with warranty, all original including NSA bracelet, rarer orange dial and bezel.
