Description
A CYMA WWW ‘Dirty Dozen’ that comes serviced with warranty by Simon Freese Watchmakers of Essex.
The service was carried out on 16/12/22 and the 12 month mechanical warranty runs from this date. The watch is in good condition showing only a few small marks commensurate with an issued watch of this age. WWW watches were issued in 1945 so this piece is approaching almost 80 years. The hands have been relumed by Simon as the original radium was gone. The case still retains it’s sharp edges which is a bonus, the majority of these have been overpolished through multiple owners. There are some marks to the case back from clumsy opening, but the engraving is legible and reads WWW P22164 27164.
At 37mm the stainless steel case is the 2nd largest of the 12, and only sits behind the Longines at 38mm. The watch comes on a new olive Nato band, for 18 mm fixed bars.
As mentioned the cal 234 has been fully serviced and is running well. Around 20,000 were produced but considering it’s size, stainless case, and popularity amongst collectors, nice examples are becoming harder to find. Comes with service recipt for transfer of warranty.
Points to consider: CYMA WWW, 37mm steel case, serviced with warranty.
