Description
A very nice CYMA WWW ‘Dirty Dozen’ that comes serviced with warranty by Simon Freese Watchmakers of Essex.
The service was carried out on 16/6/22 and the 12 month mechanical warranty runs for 12 months from this date. The watch is in very good condition showing only a few small marks commensurate with age. WWW watches were issued in 1945 so this piece is approaching almost 80 years. The dial and hands are in good condition and the hands have the thicker radium coating, often preferred by collectors. The case is probably the sharpest I have seen and still retains it’s sharp edges, the majority of these have been overpolished through multiple owners.
At 37mm the stainless steel case is the 2nd largest of the 12, and only sits behind the Longines at 38mm. The watch comes on a new black Nato band, for 18 mm fixed bars.
As mentioned the cal 234 has been fully serviced and is running well. Around 20,000 were produced but considering it’s size, stainless case, and popularity amongst collectors, nice examples are becoming harder to find.
Points to consider: CYMA WWW, 37mm steel case, serviced with warranty, unpolished case.
