Description
This beautiful Lemania was issued to the British Royal Navy for use of the Fleet Air arm in 1963. Lemania have a rich history of supplying the British military with exceptional watches.
This 6BB has the famous caliber 2220 and all functions are working as expected. The dial and hands have developed a lovely chesnut brown patina and all parts are original.
The caseback is stamped with the correct markings 6BB/924-3306 1470/63. 6BB = Royal Airforce code, 924-3306 = type of watch, 1470 is the issue number and 63 the issue year.
The case is still very sharp with a few small marks commensurate with its age and history. The case is 40mm and the fixed bars 20mm. Comes on new NATO band.
The watch is unserviced and will have 1 months mechanical warranty from the date of sale.
Nice 6BB examples are now becoming harder to find.
