Description

Lemania WWW issued to the British Army for ‘General Service’, circa 1945.

One of the favourite ‘Dirty Dozen’ watches with only 10,000 being produced by Lemania. This puts it 6th in the production table only behind Grana, Eterna, IWC, JLC and Longines.

This piece is in great condition for a watch of it’s age, it does have some small marks commensurate with an issued watch from 1945, but the overall condition is very good. The dial is superb, as are the sword hands, and both have developed a lovely aged patina. The 36.5mm case is chrome topped and these are often very brassed and worn. The lugs are fixed and 18mm. The plating is still very good with only one small mark on the lower left lug. The 27a movement is running well and comes with 6 months mechanical warranty with Simon Freese Watchmakers  in the U.K.

All parts are original and the watch comes on a new 18mm NATO band as seen.

Points to consider: Lemania WWW production: 10,000, all original parts, lovely dial and sword hands, small brassing to lower left lug. 6 months mechanical warranty with Simon Freese.
