Description
Lost Navigator Issued for one year only, 1976.
Much has been written about these rare birds and they have now become extremely collectible. The watch is all original and completely correct with its upgraded A Schilds AS2160 movement. This has been serviced by Simon Freese Watchmakers in 2022, and 6 months mechanical warranty is included. The old service ticket will be included.
Very similar to CWC and Hamilton tonneau cased W10, but a little research uncovers how interesting they are.
The dial has no signature, it has smaller numbers with flat top on 3 and Swiss Made is stamped inside the minute track either side of 6. The hands are more pointed and the seconds hand is larger. The crown is also different with only 22 teeth. Overall the watch is in good condition. There are few small marks from wear, but these are commensurate with an issued watch of this age.
Produced in only 2000 pieces and for one year (1976) with sterile dial and case. 6BB stamp indicated these were destined for the Royal Air Force. Engravings are correct 6BB-6645-99-5238290, 1910/76. Comes on a new tan Nato band.
Point to consider. A rare reference with a Schilds AS2160 movement, fully serviced with warranty, all original.
