A lovely Omega HS8 issued to the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy, circa 1943.
These lovely little watches are getting harder to find in this condition, and this one has a lovely warm custard patina to the originally white dial. The blue steel hands compliment it perfectly. Almost identical to the more common 6B/159, these were issued to the Royal Air Force in much greater numbers.
Case is 33mm with a freshly serviced Cal 30T2 16 jewel movement. The service was caried out by Simon Freese watchmakers in August ’24, and 12 months mechanical warranty will be transferred from this date. There are some light marks from wear, but these are commensurate with an 80 year old issued watch.

All parts are original to the watch including the crown. Bars are 18mm, and a new tan Nato band is supplied as seen. Case back stamped internally 2292, external HS*8 3851.
