Description

A 1970s heavyweight from Omega made to celebrate the 1976 Montreal Olympics. The design resembles the Olympic scoreboard and this is one of its nicknames, AKA the ‘Scoreboard’ or ‘Albatross’. The latter for the battery holder design.

The watch is all original and comes with it’s original bracelet. The 1210 bracelet is a decent length and should accommodate a wrist of approx 7.5 inches. All functions work and the time sets as designed. The crown sets the hours, and the minutes are set by pressing the crown centre to advance the hand.

There are a few marks commensurate with age, this is not a small watch. But overall the watch is passable vintage condition. The case is big at 33/47mm but wears well without the presence of lugs.

Some sellers ask north of £2000 for these now but this is I think priced fairly to sell.

Points to consider: Omega 1611 ‘Albatross’, all original, fully working.
