A rare Benrus Type11 Class A, dated Jan ’77.
These are getting harder to find and are highly regarded as an all American tool watch! These watches were built for purpose and issued to elite military forces, including Navy Seals.
All parts appear original to me. There are some marks from wear, but these are commensurate with an issued piece of this age. The Benrus ETA automatic movement was serviced by Simon Freese in December ’24, and has the remainder of 12 months mechanical warranty included from that date. The original bi-directional bezel shows some wear, but is perfectly usable. The 43mm parkerized steel case is in very good condition, with original finish still present.Class A was the highest grade given to military issued equipment, and circa 9000 are estimated to have been issued. This one is dated to January 1977 with serial number 2596.
