A very nice WWW MOD dial RECORD that comes with 3 months warranty.
One of the ‘Dirty Dozen’ of 12 watches issued to the Ministry of Defence for use of the British Army. This example is one of the few to have a later tritium ‘M.O.D’ dial, which came to replace the previous radium dials.
The case is chrome plated and is still in very good condition for an issued watch of this age. Many plated cases have high levels of brassing, but this one so no signs of age. The case appears unpolished and still extremely sharp on all bevels and edges. The dial and hands have a lovely aged vanilla patina to them. The case is 36.5mm ex crown with 18mm fixed bars. This piece comes with a new green NATO band as seen.
The cal 022K shows signs of servicing, so 3 months mechanical warranty will be included from the date of sale. This is mechanical only and excludes accidental/water damage etc and will be with Simon Freese Watchmakers of Southend, Essex, UK.
