A very nice Tag Heuer 2000 Quartz Professional 200 Meters ref 273.306 from the late 1980s.
Nice examples of these are getting harder to find with their tritium dials. The 2000’s in this guise were produced between 1986-90 and come with c185 Quartz movements. The watch has been checked by my watchmaker and all functions work perfectly, the chronograph starts/stops/resets at zero. Time keeping is good.
The dial has a lovely patina to the tritium hour markers, as do the hands.
This has the very rare Tachy bezel, which is also in very good condition. Tag Heuer 2000 273.306’s with Tachy bezels were seen in Die Hard 2, some of Stewarts men were wearing them and synchronised watches.
The 38mm case (ex crown) wears well and the bracelet appears to be full length and original. The clasp snaps shut and is signed with the Tag Heuer logo. Original pushers and signed crown.
Points to consider: Rare Tachy bezel model, tritium dial with lovely patina, all original, features in the movie Die Hard 2.
