Description
For sale is a nice WWW RECORD circa 1945.
This watch is completely original and even has it’s original case back. This can be seen with the matching numbers, L16762 (case back) and 762 (lug).
The watch is un-serviced but runs well, it has been checked by my watchmaker. 6 months mechanical warranty will be provided from the date of sale with Simon Freese Watchmakers in Southend on Sea. Accidental damage, water damage etc is not covered.
The 36.5mm case is unpolished and is chrome topped. Many Records show signs of brassing where the chrome has completely worn through. This piece is in good condition with minimal signs of brassing. There are some lights marks and signs of wear, this commensurate with an 80 year old issued piece. The watch has a nice chestnut patina to the dial and hands. The 022k movement runs well, and as mentioned will have 6 months mechanical warranty from the date of sale. All parts are original to the watch, bar the strap. Comes on a new tan 18mm Nato as shown, with fixed bars.
Points to consider; Dirty Dozen Record, issued watch, patina, matching numbers, unpolished case and mechanical warranty.
