Description
For sale is a very nice example of a late 90s tritium dialled Speedmaster. The ref is 3572.50.
The star of this watch is the dial, as it has aged with a lovely pumpkin patina. This reference also has a display back, showing the 18 jewel cal 863 nicely. The serial number is 48345248 (lug matches), dating this piece to 1997.
3572.50 were produced for a relatively short span, 1995-1997, so this would be one of the last to benefit from a tritium dial. Luminova dials came next.
All parts are correct on this watch: Cal 863 18 jewel. C5 dial ‘short S’. B5 Bezel, dot beneath 70. Baton hands, tritium. Display case-back. Bracelet 1499/842 (this is sized for a wrist circa 7 inches).
Overall the watch is in very good condition. There are some light marks from wear, but these are commensurate with a 25+ year old watch. The case is still sharp with a nice shape, it may of had a very light polish at some point, but it’s been done well.
The watch is not serviced by me, but runs well and keeps good time. I will provide 6 months mechanical warranty from the date of sale (this excludes accidental/water damage and will be within the United Kingdom).
When you consider a new Speedmaster is now +£6k, these 90s Speedies offer some amazing value.
Points to consider: Omega Speedmaster 3572.50, display case-back, tritium dial with amazing pumpkin patina.
