Description
A very nice Aquastar Regate from the early 1980s with Lemania cal 1345 with flyback function for timing. The watch has been checked and works well although it has not been serviced. It comes with 3 months mechanical warranty for peace of mind. No accidental/water damage etc.
The dial is very good and the discs are clean. The case has a few marks commensurate with age, but appears unpolished. All functions work as designed. Comes on generic rubber band as shown.
Designed to enable an accurate jostle to the start of a yacht race with its timed countdown lights. Activating the button at 2 resets the timer disc and starts the colour change . Every minute that passes a disc turns colour (5 minutes), then every minute after that it changes again (another 5 minutes). Now the discs are all silver, 10 minutes has passed and the orange second hand continues to run. Most regattas start with a variation of 5 or 10 minute warning horns, so by use of the light system a good skipper is easily able to navigate a correct position at the start of the race.
