Description
A very nice and hard to find CWC Chronograph ‘Fab Four’ issued to the Royal Navy for its Fleet Air Arm pilots. CWC are finally getting the recognition they deserve and have become well sought after by mil collectors. This example was issued in 1980 and has a Valjoux 7733 fitted. The case back engravings are still nice and sharp showing the correct 0052/924-3306 and 936/80.
The 38mm case is in very good shape for an issued piece with no major dents or dings. There are a few small marks commensurate with an issued watch of this age, but overall the condition is good. The dial has original lume, as does the hands… both have aged with a nice vanilla patina. Original crown/original pushers. There are 20 mm fixed bars coming with a new grey Nato band as seen. Please use all the photos as these form part of the description.
The watch is unserviced by me but is running very well. All functions work as expected with a firm start/stop/reset, and the watch is keeping good time. 6 months mechanical warranty will be included with Simon Freese Watchmakers (this excludes accidental/water damage etc) and will be from the date of purchase.
Points to consider: Royal Navy Issued CWC, rare ‘Fab Four’, all original with lovely patina, 6 months mechanical warranty with Simon Freese Watchmakers.
