Omega 1516 Constellation Megaquartz Marine Chronometer, 37m serial circa 1975/76.
Recently returned from Simon Freese with new seals, new battery and fully cleaned.
The watch is in overall very good original condition and is obviously in full working order. The original 1209/202 bracelet and ends are present, the clasp is stamped 11 . The case is in superb condition, and its original chamfers are still clearly there. These are big watches and subsequently get knocks and dings, but this one is very good. The case appears unpolished and the original Omega brush/polished finish is still present .
The dial and hands are superb, both are totally unmarked. The gold bezel has one tiny at mark 6, but is otherwise very good. There are some light surface marks from wear, but these are commensurate with a watch of this age.
The movement is running very well and the serial number matches the case, 37057932.
These are getting hard to find in this condition.
Points to consider: Rare Omega 1516, superb condition, amazing dial and hands, running perfectly.
